With a TC run at stake, this race will be exciting to say the least. Always good to see the top two Derby finishers meet again in the Preakness. Too bad the track will be a mess, but it looks like all the runners can handle the goo. TJ

I am picking Justify over Lone Sailor (best closer) in an exacta, with a large backup Show ticket on #2

Re: The 143rd Running of the Preakness Stakes
I'd think that the Derby runners may perform better than the 4 that didn't run in the Derby. Won't be a walkover for Justify, but I think he still will win comfortably.
Re: The 143rd Running of the Preakness Stakes
Call me crazy... but Brown is taking another shot at him with Good Magic, and maybe this time he’ll do it. Why not try to beat the big horse.

Wow... I'm happy Justified pulled it off, but what did everyone think of the close finish?
I worry, as the Belmont is notorious for horses getting pinched at the finish line...
Guess we'll see in a few weeks!

Gutsy win by Justify, but he certainly doesn’t look invincible after all, I’m wondering is this campaign is catching up with him???
There are some fresh, talented horses waiting for the Belmont.

Hi Cree...I meant Skee, not Cree...don't get old and thank Cree for her handicapping:>)
When that match race developed with Justify and Good Magic...it certainly knocked the starch out of them both. You made me look twice at Asmussen's horse, especially after how well all Steve's horses were running at Pimlico..the exacta, super, and tri paid great considering a $2.80 winner.
The horses will be lining up on Hempstead Turnpike to run in the Belmont Stakes now that they think he's vulnerable:>) It would be nice if the track just happened to come up fast for a change:>) There's at least 10+ waiting in the wings, freshened up and waiting to play spoiler in Justify's TC bid. It will be one heck of an exciting day at Belmont Park...can't wait to see the race. TJ

I agree 100%. Gutsy for Justify to hang on after engaging GM the whole way and the latter didn't give it up either, like a champion. he too was in the Derby mix - not coming in fresh. Great run by both. I was looking for one of Lucas's 2 to make a run and Bravazo filled the bill (I went with the other of course), but I'm sure that DW is wondering how he lost, with his horse running best down the lane after being up on the pace, then dropping to nowhere in the slop and fog, before the rally. Justify, not having raced at 2, has bottomed out - but he was gutsy enough to pull it off. He won't do it, despite his quality, at Belmont. 5-1 shot at best. And I'll root for him anyway. JM
Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
