First Time Starters

Postby madelyn » Sat Jan 12, 2019 8:41 am

Anyone have any idea how I could find out how many first time starters won last year vs how many total maiden races there were?

Or, more than that, how many first time starters have won for Paynter in 2019?

The Twinspires race data has the #first time starter-winners lifetime. I can see if I can find the number in one of the races today.

This is their Xpress/Pro version which you have to access now by going into the regular lineup and at the top where the BetNow tab is next to Twinspires, you select that then go to Xpress/Pro, then you can access all kinds of data on horses, sire, broodmare, trainer, jockey in this form - just go to the race in question and click on the name of the horse, jockey etc you want details on. It's very detailed, and if I actually spent a lot of time on this, it would make a difference in one's handicapping efforts. I wish the harness version worked the same way but it doesn't.

hope it helps!

Bless You! Thanks so much. My twinspires account has been locked up for a couple of years with 57 cents in it - I can't deposit money since it says I have outstanding transfers that must clear first. At this time it's not worth the pain of talking to tech support in the Philippines or wherever... But I sure can still log in and root around.
