Congrats to Brass Hat... better to get 20% of $6mil than even winning one of those old cheap races over here!
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Yes its a tough task to go over there and make the Arabs best horses run for money! Very proud of both horses, little Wilko has not won since the BC Juvenile but he sure puts out!!

Wilko appeared to have stumbled at the start. Anyone else see that? If my eyes aren't playing tricks on me, that means his effort was a little more impressive. I'm a fan. Just wish he'd win one once in a while  Still, 3rd in a $6 million race ain't bad at all.

As a trainer I always felt that Wilko should have returned to the U.K. after his Juvenile win as his feet seemed to give him trouble and the dirt training surfaces in North America are very unforgiving to a horse like that. Oh Well!

Wilko was doing horribly on the turf in the UK, that's why he came to the US.

I'd like to see him train out east, or on a polytrack.
All men are equal on the turf - or under it.

Sounds like they intend to leave him with Noseda, who'll take him back to GB. I hope that doesn't mean we'll never see him again in the States.

Perhaps Wilko will fly over and back to run like Running Stag did with some success?

sand as a track, is much friendlier than dirt, and has some to do with a soft turf track. Can,t explain it better.

Wilko definitely stumbled at the start. I found a replay:

I think he's a gallant little fellow.

OK, Wilko's nominated to the Met Mile under Noseda. Thoughts?

I've always liked Wilko, even though I lost my Derby bet... game little horse! Glad to hear he's still around & doing well!

Funny that you said the Met Mile! Was that rhetorical? I actually do not see Wilko winning much as I feel he would be lost for speed at the end but his heart will carry him to many close finishes , I do hope that I am wrong and that we see plenty more of him.

No, he really is nominated to the Met Mile and will stay with Noseda as his trainer, preparing in the UK. They are also likely to nominate him to the Stephen Foster and choose between the 2 as his next race. Guess he's getting a little well-earned time off after running 3rd in the Big Cap, shipping to Dubai and coming 3rd in the WC 3 weeks later.
