She is due in January to Fisher Pond.
Can consider Ca, Wa, or Or stallions.
Some considerations;
Matty G
Lucky Pulpit
Ex Marks the Cop ( very interesting cross )
or ??????????????????

Matty G is a GOOD sire. I was shocked when he was exiled from Kentucky after arriving so quickly AND having the same kind of consistent results over and over. He's improving his mares by about 20% (1.22 AEI/1.09 CI) and doesn't seem to be picky for any particular broodmare sirelines.

I like the Vindication route (Slew over Nijinsky ala Strawberry Road) and especially with Capote stallions since his dam (Too Bald) produced Baldski (sire of 45 SWs), when crossed to Nijinsky. Matty G would be a good cross imo.

I was partial to the Vindication angle as well. The big issue
here in WA is deciding if it is prudent to invest the $4500. in
the breeding and perhaps not come close to breaking even

Trail City has come to WA. what's the thought on that breeding?

Suzyd, I think Matty G is a really really good one! I read somewhere that if your mare is booked before Dec 31st you get the service for 1/2 price. That is a darn good deal! (but I have no idea where I saw that so you may want to phone and ask) A couple of our mares are going to see him this spring as well :)

I called, and it is the BOOKING fee that is half price, not the service fee :cry:
