Paris Hill , great pic. She looks a lot like one of Eskimo Quest's foals, Conceptionsreality. I have decided to send EQ to Saarland, so next week, she will be on her way to the Bluegrass. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck i'm glad you decided to give Saarland a shot. Being by Unbridled with his pedigree, race record and the quality of mares he got, he has about as good a chance of any stallion in KY to make it. Only time will tell but i am betting on him making it. I am so happy with my filly (now a yearling) i sent my mare to him again this year. The truth about him is that he is very very fertile his problem is that his sperm does'nt live that long, 48 hours is about it. They will give you a double (if there is an opening) if she does'nt ovulate after 24 hours. My mare was bred to him on 3/5 she didnt ovulate and was bred again on 3/6 she ovulated about 28 hours after the 2nd breeding so now we wait the 15 days and keep our fingers crossed. He had PLENTY of live sperm under the microscope after both breedings so dont let anybody tell you he is not fertile.

Hopefully EQ doesn't have any problems. Her main thing has been that she is tooooo fertile. Her first three matings resulted in twins. The first two were pinched, the third was too close to pinch, but one absorbed the other (that's my Celestial Quest). The 4th and 5th were single live foals, and the 6th, although ultrasounded at 17, 22, and 28 days (showing no twins), she aborted twins in the 9th month! Se also tends not take to just any stud. She tried to savage one, even through the dormosedan. Maybe the union with Saarland will be the perfect match!

EQ sure has been a challenge, hasn't she?  I hope she and Saarland will have an uneventful single pregnancy this time around and make all the perseverance worthwhile. :D

Well, Eskimo Quest was covered 4/28, and pronounced in-foal on 5/14. Great news, coming right after Celestial Quest broke her maiden at Pimlico at 1 1/8 on the turf. Now the farm will u/s EQ until they feel she's out of the woods.

Eskimo arrived back home this morning 45 days in-foal. Thanks Jason at American T-Bred Review and Kudos to the folks at Colby Fields, she came back looking great, like she was sale prepped!! Wish us luck!

The cross of Slew and Seattle Dancer produced the SW, My Misty Princess. Other stakes winners with crosses of My Charmer include, Canadian SW's, Christmas Lights, and Mona Rose (Lomond & Slew), Lunar Secret and Slewby's Secret (cross of My Charmer through Clandestina, the dam of Desert Secret, with Seattle Slew.
