Thank you Ben, maybe I am going to try it. The vet is coming tomorrow, if the vet can't help I'll have to keep trying different things myself.

Sounds like he is "tying up". Feed less protien and add potassium salt and baking soda to his feed.

Well the vet also thought that my horse is very stiff when moving. But to the vet's big surprise his blood looked very good. So now I got the advice to give less cubes/grain but I already did that about four days ago, he is now getting only 3 pounds a day. Also I should start giving extra vitamin E and selenium. But I could hear that the vet was a bit surprised about this case. No wordt though about EPSM but I am wondering if vets in Holland are very familiar with it. Any more tips maybe?

I forgot to say that the vet also left some Metacam to give my horse.

And I rather not ride my horse but only lunge him for a day or four.

if it is EPSM, adding E and selenium and cutting sugar and carbs won't do it alone you MUST add fat to the diet.

I have started giving him vegetable oil. The vet told me that the more oil the more vitamin E the horse needs.
Again very stiff "movement" today :(
In the glucosamine my horse is getting since March this year there is also calcium, magnesium and MSM (sulfur?) added.

This is what I give my guy, 1 handful of beet pulp with No molasses, 1 scoop "quiessence" am and pm, I also give him 5, 1000 mg's of vitamin E (gel caps) for humans, from a vitamin shop, and also 5 tablets of selenium from the vitamin shop, also human, we live in a selenium deficient area, Now, the oil, I give that to him for lunch, I don't give him the oil with the vitamin's because I don't want the oil to interfere with the absorption of the other stuff, so I mix the oil with another handful of molasses free beetpulp,, my vet told me to get the human vitamins because the stuff they make for animals is not regulated, so you really don't know what your getting. in the beginning I had my horse on 20,000 IU"s of vitamin E but he responded so well we cut back on it.
