Any word on his fee? Remain at $7500 or drop to $5K?
It's Stormin Fever.

There's an ad in today's TDN announcing that he's at Golden Eagle.
Whew! They really would have had to spin it good if it was Storm Warning. Sounds alot better!

Stormin Fever

Postby fastappy » Thu Oct 02, 2008 9:16 pm

The Jockey Club shows Stormin Fever only bred 33 mares in 2007, with 26 live foal reports (79%), so Kentucky's interest has obviously waned.

He should do a lot better here, though GEF tried standing Salt Lake at his Kentucky fee and Ballena Vistra tried the same with Deputy Commander, both found out that you can't get Kentucky fees in California. Salt Lake for instance went from 12,500 to 10,000, & now both stand at $7,500.

At $7,500 Stormin Fever might get the big book (100 for California) but based on the economy, past precedence, & the abundance of Storm Cats in California, they'll have to really push it with advertising and/or make deals.

Hi

Stormin Fever is a marvelous addition to the west coast sire ranks. Personally, I think he is one of the best Storm Cats around, and at $7500 he should generate interest all across the west. I have recommended this guy to Kentucky clients in the past, and they have been very pleased with the resulting foals. I'm looking forward to his west coast babies.
