Wow. Good to hear, good to know.

As for getting the distance, I think he can, just by what I saw in his last race. Won in a hand ride and shut down for the last, wasn't blowing afterward - just a cakewalk for him.

Something I overlooked pedigree wise is that BD is out of a Siyah Kalem mare. Siyah Kalem, a Mr. Prospector stallion, stood his entire career at Tom Bachman's now defunct Pegasus Ranch in Petaluma Ca. He's become an outstanding broodmare sire with BD being the best thus far. Pretty good considering he was a regional sire that stood for $3500.

Benchmark is a .5 bro to gr. I wnnr Tranquility Lake, and his granddam foaled a BELMONT winner. An ancestress of BD foaled track record setter Murph and Maid of Erin, another one, foaled CELT>
