Had a wide trip, was in contention (3rd) turning for home and tired. Corey didn't ask for him to run in deep stretch. Finished 7th, beaten about 6 or 7 lengths. I would like to see him back on the dirt.

Racing today (11/10) at Hollywood Park, 8.5 furlongs on the dirt. Corey Nakatani up. 3-1 morning line. Keep your fingers crossed. This is the farthest he has run. His mom was very good at the distance.

Bill,
Wishing this horse the best of luck today.
It has always seemed strange to me that horses that run well on wet tracks do not like the turf.
One of the interesting things to me, is that handicapping a race on the turf or an off track seems so much easier than a race on a fast track. Pedigree seems to come into it much more.

He ran second most of the way as a 5-2 co-favorite, and tired late to run 5th. I think he has regressed quite a bit in his last few races. The winner went wire-to-wire and won easily. Dancer may need a little time off.

But we will read what the owners are deciding for him as Bill let us know.
Sometimes it's not a matter of how long, but how appropriate to the situation. Too long a layoff can also adversely affect the performance. It's a fine line.

Well, he will be running for new owners since he was claimed out of the race by trainer Art Sherman. He has made 14 starts this year and I hope he gets a little time off. He was such a sweetheart as a baby, had personality plus, and I hate to see him run into the ground. Thanks for all of your well wishes.

He's been a busy boy. We'll keep our fingers crossed that he gets the opportunities that he should...to rest...and to race at his peak.
Green Hills.
By mentioning it.s a fine line you,re absolutely right in earlier post.
But by mentioning by me, a long R and R, wont,t say dooiing nothing just out in pasture. But not breezing and racing anymore. My filly is off, but she will just gently be worked twice a week, gooiing out in the pastures for a couple of mornings a week gooiing in the horsewalker a couple of times during the week and even in a riding sand paddock just trotting and walking dooiing every day something else except, racehorse training.
