In addition to Gibson County, there are some other first year stallions that appear to be doing unexpectedly very well in this early part of the year. Three Wonders has 64 foals with about 20 runners and 5 winners, Exciting Story, who died in 2004, has 25 foals with 7 runners and 6 winners and Erlton with a crop of 23 foals has 8 starters with five winners plus the other 3 have run 2nd, 3rd and 4th in their races.
Erlton is by Buckaroo. Exciting Story is by Diablo and Three Wonders is by Storm Cat. Any thoughts or opinions on either Erlton, Three Wonders or Exciting Story?

Erlton stands at Red River Farms, Coushatta, LA along with several other established or promising stallions for the regional breeder. You can go to their "Sale" pages and see how some of the short yearlings by these stallions, including several by Erlton - look.

Last October, I sold an Exciting Story yearling. She was short coupled, and absolutely loaded with muscle. She seemed to be doing well in Cal this summer, but I've not seen anything on her lately. I hope she is not hurt.
She was very timid, as is her half brother - so I think it must be the mare.
IF Exciting Story was still alive, it would be a no brainer to send the mare back to TX.
