BM Storming Up was this a good match

Postby tofutti » Tue Sep 05, 2006 8:48 pm

I recently purchased a well conformed filly out of the BM Storming Up and the sire was Minardi. I would appreciate anyones insight to what you think about the pedigree, I'm a first time horse buyer long time gambler. It's been a dream for awhile and I think the horse has some upside what do you think?

Minardi was $1.6 million yearling at Keeneland, half brother to Tale of the Cat, and an under-appreciated horse who seemed out of place in the bluegrass. He has moved on down under. He was a top 2 yo in Europe, and did his best running on the turf. The cross with Storming Up is interesting, with Northern Dancer doubled through Storm Bird and Danzig. The filly has a nice catalog page as a broodmare prospect with decent black type, out of a good racemare.

Best of luck with your filly! She should take well to polytrack.
