New pictures update--babies looking GOOD

Postby henthorn » Sat Sep 09, 2006 4:27 pm

This week I was sent some pictures of the two April babies in Kentucky that I hadn't seen but once before, on a visit in June. I'll show you a series from infant, two months, and four months.

First is April 13th filly Dreams on the Wind, by Millennium Wind out of Vivid Dreams. Vivid and her kids sure do have "stage presence".

Next is April 27th colt Island Flair, by Petionville out of Hop to It.

And I might as well throw in the oldest girl, since I only have three kids this year. This is January 18th filly Royal Pacific, by Authenticate out of Reigning Glory5. She was about six months in most recent photo in July.

GREAT looking kids. My favorite is the first one with the interesting stripe. Oh course, everything is so dry here in Texas that I find that beautiful green grass a nice backdrop!

Henthorn: They are lovely! You should be very proud of your babies. It is hard when they aren't close and you only get to see them periodically isn't it? We have some in KY and honestly, I just don't get the chance to go down there and see them as often as I would like - the ones here keep me busy. What are your plans with them?

The KY kids are both KBIF-registered, so even if I sell them, I can benefit later if they are good racehorses by receiving the breeding fund incentives. I'll probably sell them next year at Keeneland September.

The OK-bred Royal Pacific is either up for sale this winter or I'll keep to race. Haven't decided about her or her mom. Maybe she'll have the ability of her paternal GM Lakeway. She's a grand-looking specimen with quality, but catalog page won't be optimal. Sire was unraced, mother was nonwinner, Lakeway's exploits won't be reported on the page.

Very nice babies. I agree though, I'd want to be next to them all the time.
