Yolanda B. Too wins Squan Song Via DQ.

Postby Toccet02 » Sat Dec 23, 2006 3:32 pm

Ah, finally. She is "my" horse as an experiment....I researched all partnership stables I knew of, and all the horses they offered at the time, and picked her (West Point).
Pretending I shelled out the 17K for her 10% share, and seeing how she'd do . . . She's done pretty well, but no stakes race before today.
It was a DQ but she deserved to win.
Anyone see it and agree/disagree?
Check out her pedigree too...not the strongest female family at all, but she's doing pretty well for herself.

Did you pick her because of her underpinnings? I remember looking at her when she was offered and remember those legs. They were great looking. Glad she turned out well for you.

I saw the race and knew the winner was going to get put down. Your horse was the best in the race and would have won if the other horse did not move into the path.
Congrats

I picked her based on her sire, her not-ridduculous share price, and yes, her legs. Lord Avie's daughters seem to produce durable horses too.
She does resemble a gazelle at times, and paddles bit, but has been sound except for some lung infections.
She's quadrupled her auction price as a 2YO, anyway . . .

I loved her!! I galloped her for a while and man she was all business. Goofy at times, but everything you wanted on the track. Filled out very well, and definitely surprised a lot of people! Nice to hear she has other fans!

Oh cool.
I did notice there are usually two holding her in the paddock, but I heard she's certainly not mean...
