Anyone have or know a connection to this stable? They claimed the filly I bred and I would like to keep in touch with them about her. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear the filly was claimed out of her race and came back sore.

Try calling the racing office where she was claimed. They will have a phone number for the trainer who placed the claim for them. Who knows? They might be interested in selling.

Richard J. Ciardullo Jr. is the trainer. Tried his barn today but I was not lucky enough to call when someone was walking by the phone I guess. I just want to know if she is going to be OK. I would like to tell them about things like her sensitive skin to certian chemicals. That way she does not have to suffer while they are finding these things out.
I am not in the position right now to buy her back (new fencing and roof for the house is the current project) and I am happy that she was claimed by a Stable that seems to have some very good trainers from what I can see. I would think that if she is not seriously hurt that she would be shipped to NY to run. She can not run outside of FL for 90 days from the claim.

Scott Lake used to train for them in Philly, they have since changed, I forget who is doing it now, but it's a local PA trainer. Drop me an email if you need help, I'm going up the track this weekend.

I've found 10:00 to 10:30 is one of the best times to call trainers. That's when they are usually in their offices doing entries and talking to owners!

Look, I'm not trying to be mean, but why do you want to bother these people? I know him, and maybe he claimed a bad horse. Do you really think he wants to tell you exactly what is wrong with the horse?

If it is bad, he will drop and hope someone thinks he is stealing a race and claim it. If it isn't bad, he will drop and steal a race. Do you really think he wants to tell a stranger the truth? It's like poker and you want to know the cards he has.

Unless you are going with an offer in hand...

Quick horse
Did you read the post :?: I think he just wants to make sure the filly is ok. He bred the filly maybe some breaders care what happends to there horses down the line. He just wants them to know about some conditions she has. If that can help them out and they care to listen by all means let the guy call and find out. I understand about the poker game. Hes not trying to get her back he just CARES. Not everyone is heartless. Not trying to be mean

I agree with seranarider. There are some people who could care less for contact in this business, but most are very nice. My best example is a trainer I never knew, who had a mare I liked. I called him and finally bought her off of him, after some haggling. To this day he calls me and asks about her and we've become good friends. She's a broodmare now.

My best horse ran 35 races and when I thought about it, he ran less than 1 hour in his career. However, we enjoyed talking about him for countless hours.
