What if it was Biancone's assistant that was using the stuff? He's the one handling the horses now.

OK, I admit, I was one who voted No.... simply because this is still America and one is innocent until PROVEN guilty. I feel there may still be reasonable doubt in this case to Biancones's knowledge that the venom was in his barn. My understanding is that track vets who need to move from meet to meet often store medicines and other supplies in trainers barns due to them not having a local office to work out of. The bag this stuff was found in, in Biancone's refrigerator, was clearly marked with the vets name (at least that is my understanding). Being labeled so clearly makes me think that it was being stored there with the intent that nobody but Stewart would use it (similar to how an employee marks his lunch he puts in the breakroom fridge at work). I don't know any of the people involved, and yes I'm aware of Biancone's past transgressions in Europe and Hong Kong... but perhaps that actually makes him an easy target to go after in this case. Then again I may be completely uninformed on the subject at hand...

Perhaps you aren't aware of how many global racing juridictions Biancone has been "suspended" by. Biancone and OJ should form a partnership.

A one year suspension is a joke - this guy should be in jail! Snake venom makes Morphine look like a St Joseph's aspirin.
If we presume Biancone innocent, we presume that this leopard has changed his spots. Simple as that.
When this news broke, how many people were shocked, not by the venom itself, but who was nailed with it? Let's say Carl Nafzger got caught with venom...would the reaction have been a little different? In other words:
With Nafzger: "WTF??? Carl Nafzger???"
With Biancone: "What else is new?"

If he didnt know he should get a years suspension for operating a incompetent stable! would you want your horse there under his care knowing he had the venom? horse racing is like hunting in america. the more you abuse the privelege the faster it will come to an end! just another feather in PETA's hat! I say ban him for life in the US.
I voted yes because Biancone has a history of repeates noncompliance with drug and medication regulations in the countries in which he raced. These infractions have resulted in his suspension and ban, etc, in these countries so that he ends up in the USA, where drug and medications regulation is known to be much, much more lenient. Now caught with cobra venom in his barn? He's either really a scumbag or really stupid, or possibly both, and not necessarily in that order.
Every business office, store, and conveniance store puts up security surveillance cameras to protect their venture, inventory, employees, etc. They cannot afford not to do so, and many, many public and private places employee real live security gaurds to gaurd the premises, too. There is no excuse for Biancone, at this point in time and with his history, not to cover his ass up shoulder high with videos, cameras, guards, etc.
Every bloody low-life voyeur, stalker, or weird next door neighbooor can afford to put cameras and track their subjects at all times.
If he's innocent, then why the hell hasn't he already installed security cameras that would video every person that walked into the barn, out of the barn, in every stall, etc. The medication cabinet and fridge should be under some sort of security system so that only Biancone and his assistant trainer, head groom, etc, can access it. And this whole room or stall where the meds are kept should be under video surveillance. There should be a security guard at all times, day and night, whose sole purpose is to watch out for unknown people that try to enter the barn, monitor the monitors, so to speak, by watching the surveillence video screens live.
There is always a way for someone to sneak in and somehow drug or otherwise interfere with a horse, whether it is a groom was given a syringe and a wad of cash to inject a horse with some illegal drug, the assistant trainer starts something shady, blah blah. The cameras should catch them in the room with the meds and the ones in the stalls should show what they might be doing in there.
In the usef, which regulates all horse sports and breed competitions other than racing and tennessee walking horses, the trainer is liable for any infraction that his horse incurrs regardless of whether the owner did it, the stable help did it, etc. They don't go into it. The trainer has the burden of complying with the governing regulations, including drugs and meds, at all times.
The trainer title is not something to be taken lightly.

He's innocent guys an gals,
America has a big problem with "Cobra's" since Global Warming started.
I catch them all the time around here putting their venom in my refrigerators.
To stop this completely you just have to duct tape the vet an trainer to a pony cart on National t.v. mind you.
Shoot them with a dose of cobra venom in their necks an let them pull a cart a mile an 1/8th.
I think it would stop the Cobras from putting their venom in our refrigerators pretty fast .
Just a thought.lol
