uterine cysts

anyone have any dealings with them. Is there an inexpensive way to get rid of them?

Yes, but I'm not going to be any help because I can't remember the name of the solution you flush them with, about 3 times when they are open and in heat. It actually dissolves most of the cysts and cleans them up nicely for the next year. If I can get over my dementia, I will try to post the name.

Uterine cysts rarely cause a problem aside from confusing them with an early pregnancy. Just be sure to record their location so that it will make identifying a pregnancy easier.

As for how to get rid of them - your vet can laser them or manually remove them. I do not know the expense involved though. I have seen numerous mares with cysts over the years and I cannot recall any of the mares having difficulty getting or maintaining their pregnancy :)

This mare has two. One large one the size of an embryo and then a smaller one. The large one has been mistaken for a pregnancy before.

The mare has been bred 2 yrs in a row without success. AI and then 2X live cover.
Vet has said that she could become pregnant but it would be difficult.

She has foaled out a few years before so she can carry.
