Dutrow's trashtalk

Postby oliverstoned » Thu May 22, 2008 5:35 pm

Yeesh this guy is like Bud Delp on steroids. His latest is he's heading to the winners circle at the quarterpole. Makes me want to see Casino Drive nip him at the wire. In general I think the Don King like promotion for the race is good but this guys got just so much baggage.

hmmmm I respected Delp a lot more than Drug-row. Plus I think Delp really did have the "one". jmo

agreed on both points. The comparison was based on their overconfidence and similar physical appearance only, and I did say on steroids.

They'll be riding to beat him

No doubt they'll be riding to beat him. The problem is what they'll be riding - a substandard group of three year olds, with a new maybe/maybe not. Maybe/maybe not is what Big Brown and Curlin were when they run in the Derby. What are the chances of another maybe/maybe not coming in and trouncing the field?

Reade Baker was doing a lot of talking before the Preakness, and with a horse (Kentucky Bear) that anyone could see belonged in a first level allowance.

At least Dutrow has a horse worth bragging about.

I am new to this whole site so please don't bash me too hard. I haven't heard anything about Kentucky Bear's trip. I don't think he would have caught BB but he was making a move on the rail and got shut out. In my eyes it was a bad ride by the jock to get him blocked on the inside. He was going to shoot through a tiny hole that closed quickly and checked up. Watch the replay. I think he would have been there. But that is just my 2 cents. Maybe the added distance will suit him if he runs.

It actually sounded more like hollow braggado.. perhaps Casino Drive has the Dutrow team deeply worried.

Well, it was very strange that the Casino Drive team gave the Big Brown team a heads up by allowing Desormeaux to ride him in the Peter Pan.

The only horse to worry about is Big Brown and whether or not he is sound enough to run his race.

LOL!! I knew there was a reason I've been getting dejavu vibes lately. And not the good kind, either... :o

Yeah, that is weird. Kent knows what Casino Drive can do....with that knowledge, is he going to plot his ride on BB differently?

"He has no chance of beating our horse. None," Dutrow said Wednesday. "I'll be running to the winner's circle when [Big Brown] hits the quarter pole."

Nobutaka Tada was asked if there is a Japanese expression for trash- talking, and he smiled and said, "What is this - trash, trash ... trash what?"
