Can I get some thoughts about Lit de Justice? as a sire of sires? of broodies?

I saw a filly of his win her race last week on tvg. If I can think of her name I'll post it but she was built like a mack truck. I've seen him in person and he didn't strike me as being built like an irish field hunter but this filly of his was. If I remember correctly he was a closer and that's what this filly did, came on slow and steady like she wasn't gonna get there but she did. Drive you crazy kinda horse.

I'm going to give you a bunch of stats, hope it helps:
His starters average 21 starts, 74% starters from foals, 77% winners from starters, his durability # is 75.6%.
His aei is 1.39, ci 1.23, median earnings $24,040, ave. per start $2,969, and average per starter $63,245. He has 4% SW.
His APEX # (from the TDN) for 2007 was 1.57, his ABC percentage for 2007 was 13%, 2006 13%, and 2005 13%. (Not sure if you are familiar with the APEX ratings, I find them useful as another stat, but to compare Lit de Justice to, say Catienus, who you are probably more familiar with, Catienus had an APEX rating for 2007 of 1.40, 11% ABC, and a horse like Giant's Causeway had an APEX of 1.91, 15% ABC. )
His foal crops have averaged about 39, although last year he was reported at 17.
The average winning distance for his runners has been 6.5 f.
He stands at Magali Farms for $5000, the stud fee being reduced each of the last 2 years.
He is a beautiful very light gray, has a great presence about him, seems smaller than he actually is.
For what it's worth, my trainer says his offspring can be hard to handle. For a proven stallion, his stats rank him quite high in CA, and I for one think he has a lot to offer.

Not surprised his progeny is considered hard to handle. Lit was hard to handle. Corey Naketani stated in an interview that Lit was the most difficult horse he ever rode. Yet, he may have mellowed some with age. An orgaization that raises money for race horse retirement here in Calif. sells Moneighs as a fund raiser. They told me that Lit has been quite cooperative when asked to do a little painting.

His daughter, Freedom Come, is the dam of Prince of Wales winner Harlem Rocker.

I just brought home a son of his as a stallion prospect, who is a minor stakes winner and had a nice race record with 27 starts, 10 -7-2 for $190K. He hasnt been hard to handle but he did test breed this year so maybe that farm mellowed him out alittle. His name is Cumby Texas
