Still think Vineyard Haven is only worth 3 million tops? Remember he can have 140 babies a year while she, maybe 1. Too bad she ended up with Dutrow. I wonder how she'll do on a dirt track.

actually.. 3 mil might be too generious. that might be the most pathetic stallion prospect pedigree i've ever seen. I mean.. ovbiously it worked, he's a very talented horse.. but darley, coolmore and Lane's end aren't going to be having a bidding war for this little fella.

I think again.. frankel probably got offered 2-3 million.. more than he knew he would ever make with this horse. .001 percent of horses make that much, it would require him winning a travers, a derby, a preaknes.s.. something he just isn't going to do.

And you know this because?... I say let Iavarone have his little press conference, as he's wont to do, announcing it. Don't assume.

We obviously won't know if she's even ready for the KD. Halfbridled wasn't. Sometimes it just doesn't work because they don't mature from one year to the next as well as others, not because they're fillies. Don't count your 3yo Derby entrants before they hatch.

PS. I just read the Bloodhorse article and noticed they mentioned having a horse like Big Brown, then needing to go get good mares. Dear God don't let them breed her to him. Those feet, yikes. A sire and dam that fast, with feet that bad, it's gonna be a disaster.

PPS. There's gonna be celebrities part-owning her it sounds like. I'll reserve judgment on IEAH getting their mitts on her until I hear who. You never know, might be some class act of a human being that'll help draw positive attention to horse racing.

becuase i have common sense since you want to try to point me out

1. she's a synethic filly and the triple crown is on dirt.

2. her beyer numbers aren't good enough to be competitive in the triple crown.

3. they did not by her as a derby prospect, they bought her as a broodmoare prospect above all. they will race her, try to make sure she's the best 3YO filly in the country (whcih is not easy) and then retire her to get some big brown lovin.

Just because she's made all her career starts on poly does not mean by any means that she won't handle dirt. She's got a dirt pedigree - SB's top half is particularly strong (forget Tapit for a second, you've got Pulpit, Indy, Slew, etc.......plus Unbridled).

BDW, I disagree with you there, but I certainly agree that SB will not be pointed for the TC. She's a very, very talented filly and I'd just like to see her live up to her potential. If she does that, then we're going to be in for some fun times with Stardom Bound.

exactly. even if she raced on nothing but churchill.. there is the fact that she is not a colt or gelding. she's a filly.

If she continues to dominate her division and looks to want to go long and IEAH doesn't have a legitimate colt come the first Saturday in May, you're going to see her ass in the Derby.

They're entire operation is about netting interest and investors. They've already got big names attached to the filly under the guise that shes the next Rags. They were talking about it at the sale before she even went through the ring.

those same fans also look at eight belles and don't want to 'race a filly like that'

plus dutrow is not the biggest fan of racing mares against the boys.

also, i would be suprised if IEAH does not have a nice 3YO for the classic races
