i'm extremely bored, and i've seen a cople of these threads popping up, and I thought I'd throw ventura out there. who would you breed her too? I think it's interesting because she's loaded with northern dancer in her pedigree right there, so that's not a cross you can just automatically go to.

I could see jazil but I don't like that on paper. empire maker would be too imbred. if funny cide wasn't a freaking gelding he'd be perfect.

i'd personally bred her to rahy and hope for a filly

If you're bored, why don't you re-post this in the Mating Advice section. This one is for a discussion of stallions.

Well now, I posted my topic on Zenyatta in this forum rather than Mating Advice because MA tends to be for people with real horses, not hypothetical questions such as this. Since the question is what STALLION would you breed her to, the Stallions section seems perfectly legit to me. I'm sorry though if others disagree on my placement.

As for Ventura, Jazil came to mind quickly, but I don't much care for Jazil, so probably not. Again, I don't like the idea of breeding complete opposite traits to try to end up with something in the middle (i.e. Jazil is a plodder, Ventura is a sprinter). She definitely screams out for non-ND blood. If I didn't hate Unbridled's Song so much, I think that's who I would go for. Toussaud has had success with that line, with First Defence and Empire Maker.
