Just look at the conditions for this race...something seem odd to you too?

I don't remember ever seeing a color restricted race like this, especially on a major circuit. Have I overlooked it in the past?
Anyone seen this before?

LOL especially when the JC can't even get their colors right.

Did the condition actually read

An interesting condition as there is no such thing as a 4 year old thoroughbred horse. At 4, males are either colts or geldings. 5 and up males are either horses or geldings. I wonder if the writer of the condition intended horse in the generic sense which would allow 4 yo colts and fillies as well as mares? For Four Year Olds And Upward Grey Or Roan Horses
Chuck
There was another track last year that had a day of odd races, and a race of greys was one of them. It was kind of fun. I think there was a race for horses over 10, etc.

Delaware Park had gray races scheduled one or two times a year when I raced there, might still have them.
It was a really neat gimmick and fun to watch. We ran third in it one year with Mat Muck.

yes, you're right.
I disagree. For example, look at in race 1 at Aqueduct on 2/5.

I heard because this race was so successful they are going to write it back with one little extra condition. It reads:
Purse $38,000. For Four Year Olds And Upward Grey Or Roan Horses Which Have Started For A Claiming Price Of $16,000 Or Less In 2007-2010. One Mile. (Inner track)
Starters for a claiming price of $16,000 or less on Leap Year not considered.

I have raced in claimers restricted to grey or roan horses at Fort Erie and it was described as the "Salt and Pepper" race. I am sure that the word "horses" in the condition book was more of a generic usage insofar that the race was for any horse within this unique colour parameter. Hopefully no one in the NAACP took offence. LOL!
