Zenyatta vs Blame 1 1/4 mile on dirt!
First it was Z vs Rachel everyone wanted to see then Z vs Quality Road, now it's Z vs Blame. Always Zenyatta though. Really looking forward to the BCC, hope they hype the heck out of it, hell even bring in Don King to help promote it.

They hit the turn with turn with Rail trip out front, Rachel Alexnadra coming up the rail and Quality Road right outside of Rail trip trying to pounce. 3 lenghts back is Blame who is shooting past horses with lookin at lucky going even wider than he is trying to steal the race by making a swooping move.
And Zenyatta is annie oakley she has them all in her sight, just really starting to kick it into gear.
God I can't wait.

While it would be great for racing, I think the connections would do RA a disservice by running the BCC. Quality Road will wear her out by the 3/4 and the result would look like the Whitney except that Z will be ahead on Blame's outside. We can only hope Z gets that kind of pace in front of her. We could witness something special.
As OS mentioned, I hope they start running ads on TV today. We need a fantastic event. The coverage could run their feel-good stories about horses this time instead of some tragedy or hard times associated with the connections. There is a real opportunity for racing here. A look back at Ruffian and Personal Ensign would be a good start. Unfortunately we'll never get to see those two and Z race.

Am looking forward to seeing Queen Z keep her BCC title again this year. All this talk about her only on synthetic, however the folks on TVG have said that her two best/timed/etc. races have been on DIRT!
And it looks like I might get my dream come true: Zenyatta at Belmont. Only that big track can handle that huge champion. It seems just about the time she gets into second gear, it's time to stop. The Beldame, I think they are talking about (someone correct me here please) is a mile and a quarter.
I'm for letting Mike Smith open her up, shift her gear into high but at about a mile and a half...hell, she probably would run around the track a second time the way she is getting better and better.
Wish they would bring her back next year as well. She is a RACEHORSE, through and through. I don't think she is going to be happy behind the scenes being fat and pregnant year after year in KY. Only let her run at different tracks around the country so we all have a chance to see her. We won't see another like her.
Seeing her at the gorgeous Arlington Park would be a sight to behold!
Zenyatta Tour, 2011!!!!!!
*Also, to have Queen Zenyatta run at the track where the greatest filly ever lays at rest, THE Great Ruffian, would be very nice. Got me to thinking, in Ruffian's short tragic career, and with a layoff for a crack in her bone, she won alot of races in a short amount of time. Back in the 70's... incredible.

We will NEVER see another Ruffian......

Hi Erhrdt,
The Beldame is a GR I for F&M's 3&up going 1 1/8th miles. It is a one turn race as opposed to a two turn event, exactly 5 weeks before the Breeder's Cup. TJ
I think the connections would be crazy to run Zenyatta in the Classic where she'd likely be mowed down by both Blame and Quality Road. Plus they have a built in excuse: been there, done that.
Especially if she's still undefeated by the time the BC rolls around (likely since she always races the same CA fillies) I'm betting she ends up in the Distaff.

execpt that the highest beyer she ever got in her life she came 11 off the pace in the mother goose. but don't let logic get in the way of a good arguement.
there is a difference between fast and need the lead
rachel is fast
comodero, today, needs the lead. he needed he lead so bad he went 43 and 3 to get it. rachel will not be cooked by any pace becuase she just has a high cruising speed. she doesn't have to be placed in a certain place

LB, Jerry Moss already stated they are pointing for the Classic. Why would they run in the Distaff? She crushed the best males in training in last year's Classic. A mile and a quarter @ Churchill; the connections ought to be drooling. She won't get beat..

Hopefully we'll get to see it play out. That's why they call it a horse race.
I read in the DRF that Z's camp has changed their tune and is now thinking of running her in the Zenyatta stakes at SA. If that's true it'll be yet another missed opportunity to showcase her talent.
Seriously?
Shirreffs seemed cool to the idea of sending Zenyatta to Belmont Park for the $350,000 Beldame Stakes on Oct. 2, saying he did not want to be away from his horses for too long.
"The only thing that concerns me is if I go to New York, do I go directly to Kentucky?" he said. "And how long do I stay away from the [California] stable? I'm not a good telephone trainer. We have to decide the best decision."
Seriously?
what would really put the cherry on top would be if the track comes up sloppy
...and Z GIT'S UP IN THE FINAL JUMP
