Brass Cribbing Strap

Postby mlwinter » Sun Jan 16, 2011 1:22 pm

I have a brass cribbing strap. Looks like a regular nutcracker style strap, but works so much better than the others. I am looking for another. Help needed finding one. Thanks!

The best ones(and i see a lot of cribbers in a year) are the miracle collars,if the real ones and well adjusted.

Thanks, but I am not looking for a miracle collar (they are about worthless on a smart cribber). I am looking for one as I described previously. Brass or brass in color, nutcracker style. Sure glad I don't see a lot in a year, I wouldn't have a horse then if they were all major cribbers (not trying to offend you Sylvie).

With respect I would like to give my 2 cents worth without hijacking your thread. Firstly as a trainer ,every cribber that I had won races and some of them were stone cold runners, maybe high on the cribber's endorphin rush. On the subject of straps I have a couple of plain wide nylon throatstraps made by The Tack Shack in Ocala and when covered with a sleeve of your choice ,be it sheepskin or an old polo wrap ,they are 100% effective!

I agree with you Wilf some excellent horses that came tru my barns and others were cribbers. I would certainly not get rid of a child for chewing his nails or my husband for snoring...There are worst habits than cribbing, like finishing last....don't you think?
