Do you have to submit taxes for states others states?

Postby wgc517 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 5:35 am

If you live in one state but raced in another do you have to do a state or federal tax return for the state you raced in? For instance, I raced in NY at the end of the year (horse was stabled there). Do I have to file a state return for NY and if so is it based on how much you one. For example if I won less than 1k do I still have to file.
thanks for al your help.

I don't file unless I receive a 1099 and state withholds taxes.
