Does anyone know if Judith's Wild Rush is still around? The Blood-Horse
Stallion Register does not show him at all in the 2011 edition. Thoroughbred Times listing shows him at stud in 2010. He was one of my favorite horses. 67 starts, 12 wins, 13 seconds 16 thirds and over a million in earnings. Ran from from 2 to 8, stakes winner from 2 through 7. What an honest, iron horse from an unappreciated sire line that has gone to Japan.

Pleased to announce that JWR is standing at my daughters farm.We are expecting his first foals any day now.
He indeed is an iron horse he has a beautiful temperament and he is a gentleman.
Thank you Jorge you were spot on with the information, he was missed out of the stallion book, however it has not hurt him much as he seems to be getting lot's of mares from Kentucky, his former trainer is putting the word out that people should take a chance on him even though he is new as he was a great race horse.
Yes i worry about the situation in Japan as the country is in real trouble not a lot of food for humans never mind horses, would hope that they would ask for help if need be,I know Ireland slaughtered twenty four hundred race horses last year.Anyway ending on a better note we will post pics as soon as we get a little Judy.

Certainly his race pedigree, record and durability makes him a very interesting breeding choice. All the best to him and his connections.

According to what I have seen, there seems to me an array of alternatives regarding duplicating certain world-reknown names with his prepotent Icecapade dosis. On the other hand I am also noticing the presence of many talented, albeit unfashionable names via outcrosses. Seems like he may cross well with both aforementioned schools of thought, but if I were to select matches for him I would try to play it safe by using mares with a good number of starts just like him. I have noticed that immediate parents with many starts produce sounder progeny whenever there is much initial uncertainty. At least until a solid stakes horse appears. I followed him during his sophomore season and liked what I saw but, you know, now we are dealing with breeding odds.
Perhaps you may want to examine the pedigrees of these talented Icecapade descendants to have an idea:

The mares we have are well raced and they did good for us,but now the same as you say we are dealing with breeding odds.
Having said that we went to talk to a new client today and he is sending his mare down to Judy,he recons that in two years there will be a turn around in Ontario breeding. He has been in the game for a long time, hope he is right as we have lot's to get to the track.
We are however looking for some new race mares for next year.Focusing more now on breeding to sell.
