This year's filly by Canadian Kid out of Rocquette by Marquetry -

Sorry for the quality of the pictures. My camera needs to be fixed & these are from a borrowed one that's supposed to be idiot proof (but the manufacturer clearly hasn't met me).

There is disconnected white on the filly's lower lip, just like Mom's. When she sheds out, we'll know if there is more white under her jaw or if what we are seeing is just really light baby hair.

Oh how cool!~ :D

It looks like a little kid went wild with the white crayon and couldnt stay inside the lines!

She's just beautiful but wouldnt expect anything different for a Kid "kid"!

Marquetry also has some interesting white markings, more so on his legs than on his face I think, so this little girl may have also gotten a good dose of white from her mama.

Thanks - I attribute a fair amount of her beauty to Kid (and the face-white where it looks like a kid colored outside of the lines to her dam's sire, Marquetry).

And I'm patiently waiting for her to shed her foal coat, so I can see if some of that lightness around her barrel & hips is just light baby hair or serious roaning.
