Midnight Lute

Postby jagger » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:44 am

I'll let you know in about 6 weeks, bdw, what a Midnight Lute/17H mare foal looks like. Our mare is just a little shy of 17H. Lute may be a shade over 17H. He's gorgeous.

Based on the first photo below, I wonder if her foal has enough grey hairs around his nostrils and mouth in order to eventually turn into a gray, but anyway, gray or not, what a very beautiful, elegant, and auspicious colt

Wowzer, from this photo he (TAPIT-ZENYATTA) may have
an increased chance of becoming a grey. Only time will tell.

He is adorable. It looks like he has red eyelashes.

She looks like a good mom.

Interesting photos (see below)!

Cannot proclaim him a grey yet but
a proclamation of chestnut greatness is applicable.

What a beautiful specimen!

Curious photo of Zenyatta's 2013 foal.
What about the color of this colt? You judge the picture.

According to the following photo, Zenyatta's second foal,
a colt by the grey Tapit, is a "chestnut" and not a "grey".
Take look at the following photo:

I would guess that if he looked in person like he was going to gray out, they would have said so. I'm not seeing anything in his picture that says gray.

Mylute is a very good example of a gray horse greying out at a very very slow rate but since chestnuts are a different story, right now, unless an anomaly occurrs, "ZENY-TAP" seems to be a "chestnut".
