As racing season slowly starts here in Czech Republic, I found out that Tribal Instinct is going to race this year too. Just don't know what to thing about it, and mainly - I thought about what would I do if he's my horse. Just look at some facts:
Born 1998, very nice looking colt by Doyoun - Mystery Treat, Plugged Nickle - Another Treat, Cornish Prince - Rare Treat, Stymie - Rare Perfumer, Eight Thirty.
Our Triple Crown winner, and in next years top class colt and although St. Leger winner, he was especially great miler. You see, now he's 7 and he's still racing. If Tribal Instinct is your horse, what would you do? Would you make him a stallion - note that as a racehorse, he'll earn you many times much money than as a stallion! - or would you let him on the track? With his pedigree - high class sire, nice damsire, family of Be My Guest... Or - I thought about another possibility: what about making him a stallion, try to breed him some years and when he's not good stallion, putting him back into training? Do you know any case when this way was successful? I'm asking because I really don't know what with Tribal... It's much more profitable to let him run until he can win any race, that's pure fact... But still I have to think about how good stallion he could be (I say could because now he's gentle old man, whose old magic is far back in history and his last season won't bring him any mare...)...
SO, what do you think?

Louis: and let him run next four seasons? Until I see his foals are good or bad?
One note that came to my mind right now - even if he's racing until twenty, I will be happy that he won't run steeplechases...
