Shamardal last years 2yr. old champion in Euro. won the GR 1 Gainsborough Poule d' Essai in France at 1 mile.
Shmardal made every pole a winning one and won by a head.
His trainer said Shamardal looked a lot happier on the grass that he did when he ran on the sand in Dubai.

Shamardal Victorious
Maybe you all know, but during the program which was on a lot of stations, the commentator said that the stable admitted that the race in Dubai came too soon for Shamardal, and I am sure also that he likes the grass more than the sand. I've seen him last year a a two-year old and he was just great. It is very lucky that he came back to his old standard. What will be his next target, does anybody know?

Shamardal is one of the best bred horses i've seen. I have no doubt he'll be a monster on turf and a major force in racing. I'd love to have him as a sire someday if i was to buy a horse. I would love for him to make a trip to the US and try dirt one more time. Our tracks and sand at dubai are two different things. But im thinking well see him Breeders cup day either in the mile or turf. I'm thinking the turf. Helsinki was bred to unbridled song, will be waiting for that one, in foal now to cherokee run..
