| Breeder: Englebert Leedes
The second earliest mare in the lineage of Family 23
Dam of top class racehorse Brocklesby Betty, (1716 King's Plate [mares] Hambleton, 1717 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket, King's Plate Newmarket, 1718 King's Plate Newmarket), through which the maternal line of the family continues; of Brocklesby (1715 King's Plate York); of Long Megg (1716 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket); of the good stallion Hip, which sires a number of mares which breed on, including an unnamed mare which is dam of Sampson (winner of six King's Plates and sire of high class racehorse Engineer, the sire of top class racehorse Mambrino); and of Thoulouse Barb Mare, dam of Goldenlocks (1729 King's Plate Ipswich)
The family remains extant
According to the General Stud Book, her dam is Piping Peg, but this is incorrect; her dam is Piping Peg's Dam (see that entry)
