Also known as Mulso Turk. Hutton's Bay Turk is a different horse from Hutton's Bay Arabian.
The Hutton stud at Marske, North Yorkshire was probably established by John Hutton II when he purchased Hutton's Royal Colt "bred by Sir William Ramsden and sold to Mr Hutton in 1700" [GSB 1:382]
Hutton's Bay Turk was sire of [Hutton's] Blacklegs (2nd 1731 King's Plate Nottingham and sire of The Ruby Mare, dam of Marske, sire of the great Eclipse; and of good class racehorse Moorcock
and an unnamed mare through which much of Family 8 descends and which is ancestress of the great racemare stayer Beeswing - winner of 51 of her 64 starts, including the Ascot Gold Cup [1842], Doncaster Cup [1837, 1840, 1841 and 1842] and the Newcastle Cup six times, and dam of Nunnykirk (1849 Two Thousand Guineas Stakes) and Newminster (1851 St Leger and Champion Sire 1859 and 1863)
