| Rockwood was owned by Thomas Pulleine (the elder), master of the stud to William III. He was also known as Pulleine's Arabian. However, he is not the same horse as Pulleine's Chestnut Arabian.
Rockwood is sire of a son who sires a few mares who breed on with limited impact, although one of them is grandam of Cottingham - King's Plate York [1741]. Other than that son Rockwood's only other recorded offspring is an unnamed mare who is 3rd dam of [Bolton] Starling - King's Plates Lewes, Lincoln and Newmarket [1733] and King's Plate Newmarket [1734], and Champion Sire 1744;
and 4th dam of Sourface - King's Plates Winchester, Canterbury and Lewes [1742]
