The last classic winner to have been bred in Tennessee.March 23, 1902: arrived for stud duty at H. P. Headley's Beaumont Stud in Lexington, KY barely able to walk - his feet were said to have been "rotting away". Due to blood poisoning, on August 9th he was chloroformed by Dr Robert M. Bryan, the same vet who euthanized Hanover, who had similarly diseased feet. He sired no foals.
