A useful broodmare sire when imported into Virginia
Sire of the 4th dam and 3rd dam [mated with his own daughter] of Young Aristotle and 5th dam and 4th dam of Clodius, Edward's Quicksilver, Meade's Celer, Meade's Fitz-Partner and Meade's Pilgrim, all of which enjoyed at least some measure of success as a stallion, especially Clodius and the very successful Meade's Celer; otherwise Beau had little success as a stallion
His maternal line is unknown; he is not the horse, as sometimes stated, which appears in stallion advertisements in the Dublin Journal in 1740 and 1741 when standing in Ireland which say "by Sloven and out of the Coquete Mare"
