At Rancocas Stud, Inchcape was test bred to Swan Song (a full sister to Sweep). The night of April 14, 1923, a fire in the main barn killed Inchcape and forty other horses. His one surviving foal was born a few months later. Named Inchcape Belle, she produced stakes winners Bud's Belle and Thanksgiving (winner of the 1938 Travers.)
