PA Bred broodmare farm at $15/day
I know a really nice little boarding farm, tucked away on 100 acres in western PA. The owner experienced in foaling horses, has a respected reproductive vet in near by town (not on site), nice little facility w/indoor for turn out in bad weather if needed. She has a 3 stall run in paddock (basically...

Laurierace has a used Cornell collar for sale on ebay. It is listed under buying/selling category. She could tell you how well it works and maybe you could buy hers and spend less than half the retail on it. Cornell collar is for flipping pallete... I doubt it will do anything for an entrapped epig...

The Blood Horse did a study called Losing The Iron Horse? Have signed up to download the reports, but watched the video. I totally agree with everyone except the last person to talk who said decline was possibly due to year round racing. Best comments was the first guy who suspected US Drug policie...

All of this can be helpful but statistics are never going to give you a full picture. This is SO Absolutely true. That is why if you're going to create something and call it an index or a rating system, it should at least be clear what is being rated. Just like nicking... all that tells you is the ...

Kami: So two sires with equal starts per starter and % starters from foals should be evaluated exactly the same by mare owners regardless of other factors? Even in cases where the average earnings per start on one sire is 4-5 times higher, you'd still give the same rating? Anyone else have any idea...

I call BS on the system, although I can see it being made into a "program" or what ever. Its mixing apples and oranges based on an unsubstantiated theory that cannot be proven even if someone wanted to (too many confounding factors). AND weighting it (earnings/start) equal to starts/starter! Then do...

one farm I think last year gave away a free range rover if you bred a grade 1 winning horse. That would be enough to say a decision for me. Was that a G1 winning mare to their stallion or the foal ends up a G1 winner? Not sure a 3yo Range Rover could even cover the cost of getting a foal to a G1 wi...

Johnny C geld TDN $750 neg
This is a much loved gelding who is being sold by his breeder trainer due to family illness. He's had the best of everything so far, was trained in Lexington and his owner wants him to find a safe home. The trainer where he is stabled said "he has a wonderful personality, quiet, willing never did an...

Anyone near Hawthorn?
I'm looking for anyone who is near Hawthorn or who might know a trainer named David Reid? He's running a horse named Collateral Damage who's not been doing too well lately. Collateral Damage's breeder would like to get him back when his racing career is over, so we're just looking for someone local ...

Sterling is going to have vet exam by Dr Genovese on Wed to determine exactly what's going on with his ankle. He's also now available as a foster horse to any home that can transition him to being a trail horse that is within 3-4hrs of our zip 44492. If anyone is willing to help transition this boy ...

Okay, wow... I looked at his PP (thanks to the person who sent it) Here's my updated blurb... not only did he run, but he competed HARD for his entire career. Sterling is a 9yo stakes winner of over $500,000 who's ready to retire from the track. This Mutakddim gelding broke his maiden at Churchill D...
