| Owner: John Hutton II
The Hutton stud at Marske, North Yorkshire was probably established by John Hutton II when he purchased Hutton's Royal Colt "bred by Sir William Ramsden and sold to Mr Hutton in 1700" [GSB 1:382]
Hutton's Bay Arabian is a different horse from Hutton's Bay Turk, but he may be the same horse as Hutton's Bay Barb
Hutton's Bay Arabian has three recorded progeny:- the exceptional racehorse Black Chance (1738 King's Plates Guildford, Salisbury, Winchester, Lewes, Lincoln, and many other races); an unnamed mare which is dam of Shock, which was sent to Virginia in America in 1756 where he sires four mares which breed on; and Smart, which finished 2nd in a minor race at Durham in 1736
