Described by writers of his period as the most muscular horse ever seen in America. Stood 15.1-1/4hh. He was injured in his final start at 3 and raced only twice at 4, after which he was retired to Gen. William Hicks Jackson's Belle Meade Stud near Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1904, at 27, he suffered the indignity of being sold for $20 at auction to W. H. Allison. He died that year.
