Won only 2 of 13 starts as a juvenile while racing for W. L. Waitzfelder, but as a 3yo won 22 of 24 starts.
Described by writers of his period as the most muscular horse ever seen in America. Stood 15.1-1/4hh. He was injured in his final start at three and raced only twice at four, after which he was retired to General William Hicks Jackson's Belle Meade Stud near Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1904, at the age of 27, he suffered the indignity of being sold for $20 at auction to W. H. Allison. He died that same year.
