Sold as a two-year-old at the dispersal of the Rancho Del Paso (James B. Haggin) stock in the sales ring of Van Tassell & Kearney on E 13th ST in New York over several days during the first week of December 1905, purchaser John Mackey, price $300. This sale was reputed to have been the largest auction of thoroughbred horses ever sold at that time.
