News agencies in Australia and New Zealand erroneously reported at the time that Arta had won the 1901 One Thousand Guineas Stakes at Newmarket. The actual winner was AIDA, who was unnamed when the list of nominations came out. The news agencies presumed that the winner's name had simply been misspelled, and announced Arta as the winner.
1904 b.f. (dead) by Diamond Jubilee.
In 1906 she was covered by Persimmon (not St. Frusquin) and sent to France. Barren in 1907 and was apparently returned to GB to be covered by Gallinule that year.
