Imported from Arabia into Prussia [Germany] in 1798, purchased the next year by Lieutenant-General Frederick Baron and subsequently sold to Colonel James Swan in the United States, who shipped him to General Henry Jackson in Boston, and then to James Mason of Greenwood, DC. At Charles C. Jones' stud in Montgomery Co. MD in 1802, and then at E. Edelin's stud in George Co MD in 1803. In 1804 he was owned by John Tayloe
