Foundation Mare Family 49
Called the "famous Falconbridge" in a stallion advertisement for her descendant Trusty in the Newcastle Courant, she may have been owned by Thomas Bellasyse,1st Earl of Fauconburg [also known as Falconbridge], husband of Oliver Cromwell's daughter Mary, and nephew of the mother of James Darcy the elder.
Dam of an unnamed mare by White Lowdon through which the maternal line of the family continues
Family 49 survives to the present, for a long time without producing any horses of particular note, the best being Aethon (1768 King's Plate Carlisle), but in more recent years has upgraded somewhat, horses in the family including high class 2yo Orzil (1897 Coventry Stakes, Clearwell Stakes); Boniface (1900 Hardwicke Stakes) and Snipledo (high class handicapper in the United States in the 1980s)
