No, she's Morgan or Morgan cross. Morab maybe? Her owner posts on HGS.

I found it :)
She's 3/4 Arab, 1/4 Hackney

Oh! So Hackney is the other component, and at a smaller portion than I thought. Wow I was all messed up. LOL

Sadly I don't think anyone knows. I talked to one person who says a white striped brindle has never tested positive for chimerism so it is unlikely she is chimeric. It sounds as though it's probably a skewed mismark or something.

I do find her very interesting, however, I have no idea what could be causing it. Though I wouldn't completely count out Chimerism.

I think two or three years ago, somebody posted pictures of a very oddly marked polo pony from South America (Argentina or maybe Brazil). He was a part-bred TB. His white markings made him almost look like an Appaloosa. Apparently, horses marked like him occaisionally appear in this one area where this horse came from, and there didn't seem to be a genetic component so the thinking of "experts" was that this was caused by something in the environment. At least, that is what I remember about our discussion of this horse.

When I saw this mare, I thought it might be something similar -- an environmental factor. It certainly is odd. She's easily the oddest marked horse I've ever seen either in the flesh or in pictures.

That was a manchado overo. Nobody has figured it out yet but it isn't appy. Royal Manchado is a TB example. Trabag was an Arabian.

He LOOKS manchado to me. I recently saw another polo pony that several people thought looked manchado but looked more LP to me, but he looks quite different from this horse IMO.
