Where's Alumni Hall?

He's no longer listed on Lane's End's website. Anyone know what's up?

Wow that's odd. I could've sworn I read something not long ago where they talked about him and the mares that would work well. Maybe they're redoing his info. Couldn't imagine that they'd jump off him this quickly would they?

Hmm anything to do with being an AP Indy then? Was Alumni Hall a cryptorchid? I wonder what's going to happen to the ol' boy. He just turned 8.

Yeah, I had a mare booked to AH and Lanes End called to say that he "hasnt' adjusted to stallion life". I've had to scramble to find an alternate stallion for the mare.

"Hadn't adjusted to stallion life?" What does that mean? It could be a world of things. Any information, anyone?

Couldn't mean he's not putting out could it? Kinda hard to knock up a mare if you're pulling a War Emblem. If he had seriously low fertility though seems like we'd have heard something other than 'adjusting' to anything. Unless they mean adjusting to the treatment for his sperm motility.

I knew a piaffe/passage guru who liked to start by teaching horses to step up with their two front feet onto those huge cable spools. Maybe they are going to teach AH jumping over bushes for confidence......they don't kick+squeal?

Nope, it isn't April 1st. I checked.

I guess I'm glad to see Alumni Hall continue to run, or jump, if he's sound and still interested in it. It really is too bad that he's declined to join the boys in the shed, though; he's a very nice horse, very durable.

I am glad that he is not going to be gelded. Perhaps at some point in the future, after Alumni Hall is retired for the final time, someone will turn him out in the back forty with a mare or two, and he'll decide to do something about them.

Even then, he would still be effectively infertile from a commercial standpoint. Does Farish own Alumni Hall outright? I hope that there is always a stall for him on his farm, even if it isn't in the stallion barn.
