Broodmare Prospect?

Postby crazy canuck » Tue Feb 27, 2007 3:04 pm

I have recently purchased a mare "Steady on the Wire". I plan to breed her with warmbloods for either eventing or jumping. But I'm just wondering if you think there is any merit in maybe breeding her to another TB for racing? Or is her pedigree so run-of-the-mill that it's not worth my time.

Looks like your mare's name is spelled Steadyonthewire. Her dam, Steady Acent, is a half-sister to stakes-placed Regal Agent. Not a lot of black-type in her immediate family, so unless your mare was a high-earner herself, she's probably better off as a sporthorse mama.

Here's a link to her family's recent catalog page. Note Steadyonthewire's third dam is stakes winner MONOLITH. http://www.keeneland.com/sales/jan07/pdfs/2067.pdf

Thank you for your feedback. However, is the attached page my mare's family? I just started learning how to read catalouge pages so maybe I'm missing something.
