He looks great - more chrome! And his blaze looks just like his mum's.

Laurie;

He's lovely! I know sometimes it is hard to appreciate the good when there is so much bad but he is really a cutie and I'm sure will be spoiled rotten! His dam is quite lovely too! Look at that face! I love the picture of him reaching up mom's neck :) Keep the pictures coming!

Okay now Zia.....Im gonna say it again. We have some serious chrome hoarders on this board and after Africas foal last year Id say she is one of them! Do you have any new photos of her first foal to post again? If I remember right it was dark bay with almost the same markings?

Skipitgirl, you have a great memory. LOL :D Yes, Storm Halo is Mom's color and has very similar markings, just a bit more chrome plus a belly spot. Storm Halo's sire is a gray and this guy's sire is a solid chestnut. When I saw the colt I said "I think it's safe to say Africa throws a lot of white."

Let me see if I can dig up a pic of her at about the same age.

Thanks so much, everyone. We're on day 10 now. I'm almost ready to breath again. :wink:

This one was bred on recommendation of a local pedigree expert. He's linebred (sex-balanced) to Ribot, Northern Dancer, and High Voltage. He has a GSV of 67.00 according to the database. He'll be an accredited New Mexico bred. We have high hopes for him. (Uhhhh...maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud. ::: knocks on wood ::: :roll: )

But yeah, he's going to be very spoiled. No way around it. 8)
