So excited - name choice approved for Alysweep colt!

We are so happy that we got our first choice for our 2007 Alysweep colt our of Wight and Wong (Robyn Dancer). His new name is: ALYSTAR! Sorry to the many friends who suggested "Wight Up Your Aly" lol, we just couldn't do it to this guy!

Here are some pictures of our little firecracker, Alystar!

filly

Postby witherbee » Thu Apr 05, 2007 12:39 pm

Now we just need to figure out a name for our Unttutable filly out of Miss Ardent! Her barn name is "Gabby" or "Gabba-Goo" (yuck, I know lol!), but I was looking for maybe something with Fappiano, Raja Baba, Never Bend, Killaloe or Unbridled in there. Here are some of the names I'm considering:

Miss Independet (taken)
Miss Fappie
Miss Raja
Queen Tut (taken)
Gabbie Fappie
Raja Kate
Miss Unbridled
Fappie's Star
Fappie Baba
Good Intentions (taken)
Unbending (taken)
Rumor
Rumor Has It
Miss Understood (taken)
Miss Tut (taken)
Miss Killaloe
Miss Charade
Miss Ruff N Tumble
Frappe
Unbridled Emily (my niece)
Gift of Gab
Miss Fortune (taken)
Native Miss (taken)
Ardent Miss
Miss Paparazzi
Miss Etc (my nieces and nephew's initials)
Emily's Miss
Taylor's Miss
Fappie Em

Here she is, and she is a very forward and strong filly - no shy flower here! Her star looks like a kite...

Alycat would have been cute. She is adorable!

Im too lazy to look it up but Unbendable is a solid name. I prefer single word names though.

I have a few names to come up with myself. Kinda hate this part. :x

Beautiful babies . . . . . . . . .

I like the name Fappie Baba with one change to: Fappie's Baba.

Both babies are beautiful. I love the photo with Alystar peering out of the stall.
Can you tell if Alystar will be a gray yet?

Looks like Alystar will stay chestnut - his sire, Alysweep is and this colt is the spitting image of him. He is shedding out to be a darker chestnut, but no roaning or gray hairs to indicate that he will gray out. He's so smart and a lot of fun!

Knock-outs, both of them. I like the name Rumour. One of those names that, if the little one turns into a legend, "Rumour" will look so regal in bold black-type. But alot of your name choices are nice.

In a quick rundown of the Jockey Club's online names book, these seem to be available. Most have the theme of eagerness or press. My favorite is the final one. It suits her well. Beautiful foals!

Ardent Miss
Lois Lane
Zesty
Fan Power
Open Press
Pressing Need
Eager Miss
Eager Girl
Letter Loose
Let Her Loose

Thanks for the suggestions henthorn - I had not thought of the press angle except for my reference to paparrazzi...
