These are pics of our new bay colt by Seattle Fitz out of Run the Red. He was a week old in these photos. (The bay mare with her ears pinned in the first photo is not his mother!) Enjoy!

What a show off he is! And a muddy wee thing too. Is he practicing for dressage or for the Grand National?

At the moment, I'm not quite sure what profession he's auditioning for. Maybe he's testing all of his options to see what he most prefers! He's also quite adept at racing around the pasture, so hopefully, that will be his true calling! He's all boy, that's one thing that is for sure. And he's totally and completely sweet to the point of being cuddly. When he stops moving that is.

It's been quite a muddy spring in Chicagoland with all the rain and the odd April snow. At least he doesn't see to mind. He's at Hill N' Dale in Barrington at the moment, but will be moving a little bit west to Caledonia in a month or so.

I've been to Hill 'n Dale! Joe the manager spent two hours showing me around the place, and introducing me to Chicago Six (second crop stallion by Wild Again out of Secretaridge). It's a great facility and beautiful as well.

I don't think he gives a crap that that isn't his momma - pinned ears or not - he doesn't seem to care one bit - of course one little nip on his arse from one of the other momma's might change his mind :) - That shot of him jumping is priceless - mom looks like she's saying "oh brother - and I've got how many more months of this foolishness? Lord help me!"

Great pics!
