It was very sad to see this horse go down like that. His dam is a direct descentant of St. Simon, I will guess that's where the blame is going to be placed by you know who.

I saw thats really sad I hate races like that I hope they can save her.I heard she has a fracture.

RIP Mending Fences - a really fiesty gray who wanted to run these turf sprints his way - on the lead, wire to wire.

- He won the G3 Connolly Cup on the Turf here at Sam Houston earlier this year and was running a great race today when he went down. I had money on him because he was such a warrior horse - with M.F. it was always up to another horse to take the win away from him but today it appeared one of those great legs of his gave way on him.

To be fair, it was more a slip of the tongue than not knowing the name, but it was hideously timed during a replay of the horse down on the ground and getting trampled by other horses.
