Turn It Around

I knew they existed... but I'd yet to actually see one.

One of the Sky Mesa's I put in is inbred to Storm Cat. I'll see if I can find him.

"Oh, God, WHY do this?"

Sam, I always believed that you did in fact believe in God, in spite of your protestations to the contrary. I am glad for you!

Should we be taking bets on an over/under line for number of starts or for whether or not they even make it to the races?

For the record, I've NEVER claimed to be an atheist. I'm an agnostic... only narrowminded idiots don't know the difference.

That being said, "Oh God" IN THIS CASE*, is a generic expression of exasperation. Saying doesn't confirm or deny a belief in any specific god. Trust me, I'm not praying during sex.

For what it's worth, I don't have a problem with religion as a personal choice, I have a HUGE problem with Organized Religion and feel it is the biggest evil humans have ever come up with to inflict on themselves.

IOW... please shut up.

I say let's give them a fair shot. Seattle Slew inbreeding has been happening in the last few years with middle of the road results. Mr. Prospector inbreeding always concerned a lot of people but the results have been good as whole... never know till you try, I guess.

Now that we know SAM finds sex to be exasperating.....

Back to the topic....Why worry about 2X3 or even 2X2 inbreeding to Storm Cat...we have the miracle cure, Polytrack!!!!

Leave it to you to be a fucknut. My fault for not prefacing that first sentence with "In this case." Left myself open for your attempts at humour. I keep forgetting you're always looking for a way to make some obnoxious comment.

I'm trying to think of a Slew inbred of note other than Atlantic Ocean.

I figure Storm Cat inbreeding is going to be like ND inbreeding overseas. Sheer numbers are going to make it work. It's hard not to have a lot of ND inbred stakes winners when that's all they have overseas anymore.

Odd... the 1st dam did quite well with Skywalker... that's the way I would try to breed her filly. I think that the Storm Cat cross is a bit close.

It's not even the inbreeding in general that bothers me... it's the fact that it's 2x3. Just... *shudder* I had the same reaction to a 2x2 Skywalker I saw in a Barretts sale a few years back. Bertrando to a Skywalker daughter I think.

There's Wrenice, but she's a relatively conservative 3x3.

Ever had a look at the pedigree of Jim T.?

You can't help but wonder what was going through his breeder's mind.

Obviously it was nothing to do w/ hybrid vigor. When I first ran across Jim T. I thought 'this has got to have been an accident'. Alas, not.
